EVALUATING MATERIALS

Assalmualaikum and hi.

From the previous class, we have learnt about an Evaluating Materials. So, when we have to do a task and assignmnet, of course we have to find a website or any sources in internet as our resource. But at the same time we don't know whether the website that we have referred is really verified and good to made it as resources.
What guidelines should be considered in the selection and use of instructional materials?
For the first step, we can do a checklist for evaluating materials. How the checklist organized? So, here we can make a checklist of the following five sections:

 1. Content 2. Quality of content 3. Potential effectiveness  4. Ease of use 5. Comments

CITATION

The purpose for citing is to let readers know that a specific piece of information you're providing has a source, other than your own observation or reasoning. In many cases, the strength and credibility of your work depends on the validity of your sources, as well as your ability to represent those sources clearly without plagiarizing.

Even if you fail to cite a source, or cite improperly, without meaning to do so, the consequences can be just as dire as if you did it on purpose, especially in academic and professional settings.

You can use in text citation with APA style. APA in text citation uses the author's last name and the year of publication. For example, ( Field, 2005)
